‘Suite’ Memories: A Look Back at Spring Market (Part I)
What a crazy, whirlwind spring High Point Market was! From flying in all the way from Juneau, Alaska to participating in the Alden Parkes’ “Showhouse in a Showroom” and wrapping up our market experience with both an Instagram Takeover and a Suite Spot Tour, we can say Spring Market was an amazing week!
After market, we quickly found ourselves back to the daily grind, but we still can’t help but reflect upon the amazing vendors featured throughout our Suite Spot Tour. When first tasked with selecting only a handful from the entire Market Square Suites, we must admit we were a bit flustered but soon found ourselves with a mission to highlight manufacturers that are not only designer friendly, but offer near endless customization so our attendees could learn new ways on how to elevate their own designs by teaming up with amazing vendors such as these! Added bonus, they’re either all made in America or maintain their primary distribution sites here in the States!
Creative Cables
At Creative Cables, we learned about the endless ways you, yourself, can be a lighting designer using their products! With their endless colorways, shade and bulb options, designers can truly customize any lighting type to suit their needs! Added bonus, this small company has an interesting backstory and is the brainchild of an US-based lighting designer and an Italian factory owner!
Weston Farms
Our next stop was Weston Farms, an amazing Magnolia tree farm located right there in North Carolina! Brought to life from a small-town dream to create a luxurious product from the family farm, owner Erin Weston has grown her estate to more than 10,000 trees and offers a unique collection of Magnolia-based accents. From wreaths to garland, her products are a great way to enhance the seasonal décor for your clients’ homes or businesses. And as floral shoppe owners ourselves, we know just how powerful of an impact Magnolia can make!
Itinerant Studio
This family owned & operated art studio offers one-of-a-kind original and limited-edition mixed media works for both your residential and commercial project needs! Their work is not only stunning throughout, but it can be completely customized to fit your needs. From sizing to composure and framing, their options are truly endless!
Julian Mejia Design
Talk about the life of the party, Julian offers a fabulous collection of colorful tabletop accessories including napkins, chargers, table runners, napkin rings, and more! All completely customizable too! With Julian’s background in fashion design and experience with working at some of the most well-known fashion houses in Paris, the craftsmanship of his products is impeccable down to the very last detail.
Westfall & Kitson
Based in Detroit, Westfall & Kitson offer customizable wallcoverings and murals that are made in the USA! Whether you fall in love with one of their own patterns or prefer to mix and match their textured paper options, this is one company that loves working with designers and fulfilling their needs!
That’s a wrap, for now anyway! Check out the remaining highlights from our Suit Spot Tour in Part II of 'Suite' Memories.
