    Nine Floors of Showrooms Offer Easy Access to Cross-Category Sourcing



    HIGH POINT, NC — (October 5, 2017) - Buyers and designers who visit the Commerce & Design (C&D) building during Fall Market can explore 40 showrooms, nine floors and hundreds of home furnishings and accessories product lines in one easy-to-navigate location.

    A key destination for buyers and designers, the C&D building is the backdrop for two company showroom debuts during fall High Point Market, Oct. 14 – 18. Padma’s Plantation, an outdoor furniture and accessories source, is debuting a new showroom on 5L. Urban Chic is introducing its line of furniture, artwork, lighting and textiles on 4N.

    “C&D should be a must on the destinations to visit at High Point Market,” says Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of Furniture and Home Décor Leasing for International Market Centers (IMC). “There are a lot of innovative sources throughout the building, and products range from commercial, to mid-range to high-end resources to organic and sustainable – something for everyone.”

    During Market, buyers can also join the exhibitors of C&D for a variety of food and drink events. Afternoon socials are from 2 – 6 p.m., Oct. 14 – 18. A WiFi lounge is open on the 2nd floor Skybridge from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sat. through Wed., and daily happy hour locations include: Visual Comfort & Co. from 5 – 7 p.m. (2G, 2J); Trowbridge, 4 – 7 p.m. (2A); Urbia, 4 – 7 p.m. (5A, 5B); and refreshments all day at Spicher and Company (1D).  

    Additional food/beverage events include: Prosecco & Noodles at Trowbridge (2A) 12 – 7 p.m., Sat. through Tues. and Soup & Salad Luncheons at GuildMaster (1A) at 11:30 a.m. Sat. through Tues. Special one-time events include 30 Years of Design Celebration on Friday, Oct. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Visual Comfort & Co. showroom (2G-K) and High Tea & Talk with Libby Langdon on Mon., Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Spectra Home showroom (6E, K, L).
